' released their first album named 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. In 1990  John Kiffmeyer was replaced by current drummer Tre Cool to follow up 1,039 with Kerplunk in 1992. In 1994 Greenday released Dookie with new record label Reprise this was when it sold over 10 Million copies in the U.S.A alone. In 1995 Greenday Released Insomniac It was not was successful as  Dookie with only around 10 million world wide. Before the name Insomniac, the band considered naming the album Tight Wad Hill. Nimrod was the follow up to Insomniac and track 17 Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) was a massive hit and was played at many pop culture events. Billy Joe wrote this song in 1990 and was not showed to the band until 1993. Warning followed Nimrod In 2000 and Featured Minority which stayed number 1 in the modern rock chart which makes it one of the band most successful songs in the 2000s. Shenanigans was a compilation album from b-sides, rarities, covers and a previously unreleased track, Ha Ha You're Dead.  In mid-2003, the band began recording songs for an album titled cigarettes and valentines but the master tracks were stolen, and the band decided to start recording a new album rather than re-record Cigarettes and Valentines and that was a good choice since this album was so successful. Wake me up when September ends was a hit, the song deals with the death of lead singer Billie Joe's Dad, who died in September 1982 when Billy was a child. Billie was 10 years old when his Dad died of Cancer. At the funeral Billie  couldn't handle it, so he ran home and locked himself in his room. His mother, worried, ran after him, only to find the door locked. She asked him to come out, but he only said, "Wake me up when September ends. American Idiot (song) also won Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. I Could speak about American Idiot all day but we have to move on to Bullet in a Bible which was the American Idiot album played to the United Kingdom and featured future guitarist Jason White was playing to replace Billie Joe from playing guitar. They played to over 130,000 people at the Milton Kings Bowl In England. After this was 21st Century Breakdown and was released in 2009. 21 guns became number 22 in the billboard hot 100 which is the highest charting single since 2005. There next album was !Uno! which was followed by of course !Dos! and !Tre! they were all released in 2012. Also in 2012 Jason White Became a full Member in Green Day.
